TERASCALA NAMES RICK FRIEDMAN VICE PRESIDENT OF MARKETING AND PRODUCT MANAGEMENT

AVON, Mass. – November 6, 2007 – Terascala, Inc., a provider of high throughput, high capacity storage solutions for high performance clustering, today announced that High Performance Computing (HPC) veteran Richard Friedman has joined the company as vice president of marketing and product management.

Friedman brings over twenty years of technical marketing and product management expertise to his role at Terascala, where he will be responsible for leading the company’s marketing, product management and business development efforts as the company announces and begins shipment of its new storage appliance for high performance applications.

Prior to joining Terascala, Friedman was vice president of marketing at Scali, a leader in management and application performance software for high performance computing. Friedman was also an early employee at Ammasso, a developer of the first RDMA-enabled Ethernet adapter for clustering and at Network Engines, where he focused on marketing and product management. Earlier in his career, he held marketing and engineering roles at Phase Forward, Cadence, Viewlogic, Digital Equipment Corp. and AMD.
