AVON, Mass. – November 10, 2011 - Terascala, Inc., the leader in Fast Data storage management, today announced that it has joined the OpenSFS community; a technical organization focused on high-end open-source file system technologies.
OpenSFS was founded to provide a forum for collaboration among entities deploying file systems on leading edge high performance computing (HPC) systems, to communicate future requirements to the Lustre file system developers, and to support a release of the Lustre file system designed to meet these goals.
“At Terascala, we’ve been working with Lustre since we first announced our broad range of high throughput, high capacity storage and management solutions in 2005,” said Rick Friedman, vice president, marketing and product management at Terascala. “OpenSFS provides a terrific mechanism for continuing the growth and development of Lustre and we’re looking forward to working with the community.”
“OpenSFS is pleased to have Terascala join us as a formal part of the OpenSFS community,” said Norman Morse, chief executive officer at OpenSFS. “Companies and organizations like Terascala, who are developing and enhancing the solutions available to users and contributing to the Lustre community, are making a huge impact in furthering the support and extension of Lustre.”
Terascala’s TISIS™ solution is a complete management solution enabling the creation of simple to deploy and maintain Lustre storage appliances. Deployed in commercial, government, and research installations, version 3.0 of the TISIS software will be demonstrated at the SC11 conference, November 14, 2011 in Seattle, WA.
